20 Years of Production Experience

Steph is a professional rock climber, wingsuiter, BASE jumper and skydiver.

Steph became a pro climber in the 90s, when the job meant documenting and sharing climbing expeditions through photography, writing and public speaking.

Throughout the early 2000s, she cut her teeth in production work as she made and documented groundbreaking ascents on El Capitan in Yosemite, the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and the Utah desert.

On her early shoots, Steph put together the crews, rigged lines for the camera teams and directed the shots, as well as doing the actual climbing. As her skills grew to include airsports, her stuntwork expanded to include BASE jumping and skydiving.

Steph is a resource for production teams in need of high angle footage, in front of or behind the camera. She is equally at home working with a 2 person documentary team or a 50 person union crew and can take on a diversity of roles from onscreen stunts, interviews and voiceovers to working behind the cameras.

Specialties include rock climbing, rappelling, BASE jumping, wingsuit BASE and skydiving stunts, rigging, safety, stunt coordination, and air-to-air camera, aircraft coordination and logistics.

Because Steph’s daily activities include rock climbing and wingsuit BASE jumping, she is comfortable working under pressure at the edge of a cliff, hanging on a wall or a helicopter, and timing a shot with no compromises on safety for any of the team.
