By pure luck, Pete Mortimer and Nick Rosen were in position when I sent Concepcion–so they captured some full-on yelling and screaming.
Dean made the first ascent of Concepcion and did not rate it. I also have no idea of difficulty–for me, it was just really hard 🙂
I love the yelling! Now when my climbing partners tell me I need to calm down I can say that even Steph Davis yells sometimes…
Once at Rifle, my friend Tommy was telling me “for the crux, the beta is YELL.” When all else fails, it does seem to work!

What climbing shoes do you recommend for thin cracks? It looks like you don’t wear moccasyms on hard thin cracks? What velcros do you wear? Do you choose by rubber or shape?
Have you used the ladies Miuras at all?
