Book Reading and Wingsuit Chat in Salt Lake City

Will you be in Salt Lake City on January 20? I’ll be coming to the Kings English Bookshop in Salt Lake City at 7 pm for a joint book reading and signing event with my friend Matt Higgins, a writer for the NYT and ESPN, and author of Bird Dream, a fantastic book about wingsuit flight and the wingsuit community.

I met several years back Matt in Walendstadt, Switzerland while he was traveling the world and following Jeb Corliss and some other pilots to research for his book. Bird Dream is like Born to Run, for the wingsuit base world, and Matt did an amazing job of translating our sport for people who don’t do it, while capturing the history and unique personalities in a really authentic way.

I’ll be bringing some copies of Learning to Fly to sign, a new short video to show, a couple of wingsuits to demonstrate (with a hair dryer, not a cliff), and we will also answer your questions about the history, technology, community and future of the sport.

If you’re curious about wingsuits and base jumping, would like a signed copy of one of our books, or just want to say hi, hope to see you on next Tuesday night the 20th at 7 pm at the Kings English!
