Moab in August?
Hi Steph,
I am writing from Madrid (Spain).
I go to Indian Creek on August to try climbing there, but I got a question. Is possible to climb that month? I know that nike says impossible is nothing :-), but maybe the hot is extremely high even in shadows.
We are very excited with this trip, but we have to be realistic.
Any suggestion about better areas to climb with that “cold” it will be welcome. (Itยดs our first time to climb in USA so our level will be 5.9 or less)
Thanks a lot, Carlos!
No Carlos!!! Don’t do it!!! Moab in July and August is an oven.
Come when it’s September or October! ๐
If you are in the area, Maple Canyon is more cool and very fun, and so is Rifle. I think you would really enjoy climbing at Lumpy Ridge in Estes Park, Colorado if you’d like to climb cracks and place gear. There are many classic, wonderful multi-pitch routes from 5.6 to 5.12, and it is at higher elevation so it will be cooler. Another place you’d really like is Tuolomne Meadows.
