Indian Creek Crack Weekend
- October 2013
- Climb
Indian Creek was magical last weekend: sandstone, splitters, blue sky and perfect temperatures–some of the nicest weather I’ve ever seen in the desert and a really fantastic group, all adding up to our best clinic yet. We are already looking forward to April!
We climbed a lot, ate a lot, placed a lot of cams, used a lot of tape and did a lot of jams and came out of it with not one gobie (at least as far as I know).
Aside from their usual unparalleled rope gunning, instruction and coaching at the crags, Lisa Hathaway and Chris Kalous (aka the Enormocaster) outdid themselves with their often hilarious musical jam session around the bonfire on Saturday night.
Chris Hunter captured the experience beautifully for everyone with his pro photography.
Eula Gonzales kept us all fueled and happy with organic meals and baked goods at camp and personal lunch delivery at the cliff (I wish she would do that every time we go climbing…).
I’m excited to announce that all clinic participants for 2014 will receive a pair of the new Evolv Addicts!
Registration is now open for April 25-27, 2014. For registration information, drop me an email at steph@moabbaseadventures.com
See you at the Creek!
No gobies! Wow, that’s super impressive! My 14 hand gobies from this weekend hurt a lot this morning. I need cleaner crack skills! Keep on inspiring, Steph. You’re amazing!
