Hi Steph,
I have just finished your book and really enjoyed it! I just stumbled upon your website doing a bit of research on some of the places you descibe in your book and was very impressed. Lots of good information on climbing and life in general. I have been climbing for about a year, there is a lot of good trad climbing here by the way!
I have to tell you a story about a find I made just after christmas. I was driving home after work one evening, it was dark, and on the side of the road I saw some little black objects moving around on the side of the road. I live down a quiet country road and first thought they were rabbit’s or birds and didn’t stop to investigate.
After dinner I got curious and my wife and I went out to investigate. What we found were eight springer spaniel pups a couple of weeks old! Someone had left them for dead on one of the coldest nights of the winter.
We brought them all home and got out our big lasagne dish and filled it with warm milk and kept them for the night. We found homes for all of them in no time and we kept one ourselves, her name is Holly! Very festive
Anyway, enough from me, thought you might get a kick out of that story. Keep up the good blog and hello to all in Moab.
