Happy Dog and Dog Mom
Dear Steph,
I have been wanting to send you a mail for some time already – here it comes, finally.
For me, a like-minded person sharing many of your passions, you truly are an inspiration. Climbing, mountains, vegan food, yoga, environmentalist, outdoor lover… Always a pleasure to know that there is more people out there, with similar ideas! 🙂
More than that, I want to share with you that your books and your blog, with all your wisdom and insight, had a great value to me when I went through an extremely difficult time last year, after having lost a person I loved. Thank you for being who you are and for sharing your experiences and thoughts so generously. My mother also likes to wander around your blog, she is a dog lover and enjoys reading your articles, often stressing her English skills…
I am sitting here at my parents’ place, sipping coffee with my mom. Our dog Anton is an “old man” already, getting increasingly sensitive and fragile. My mother had been looking for some kind of dog coat for cold winter days for a long time, never finding something to her satisfaction. She ended up ordering the Ruffwear Quinzee Jacket after having come across your article on it – which she admired, by the way! We got it just in time for Christmas last year and just in time for the first snow of the year … it fits perfectly and I am sure Anton is as happy as Cajun and my mom is certainly as happy as you are! 🙂
Thank you,
Svenja
(with greetings from a happy dog & a happy dog mum! See the pictures attached…)
Hi Svenja,
Thanks for writing and for the pictures of Anton….I’m glad he’s warm 🙂 🙂 My friend Lisa has an older dog named Cottonball. Cotton doesn’t take off the Quinzee jacket all winter, and is clearly much happier now that he’s warm!
I’m sorry for your loss. And I’m glad if some of these letters and stories helped you.
Best to you, your mom and Anton,
Steph
