Diamond Free Solo and Castleton Base Climb

This was an early cut made by Sender Films for the Alpinist Film Festival in Jackson: free soloing Pervertical Sanctuary on the Longs Peak Diamond and a free solo/base jump of Castleton. It was winter and snowy on Castleton when we went to shoot it, so we shot the North Chimney for this first cut. Mario flew the Skydive Moab Cessna by the summit to shoot the jump.
In the spring when it warmed up, I free soloed and jumped the North Face route on Castleton, and Sender made a new edit for the Sharp End DVD.

Just watched Steph’s video free climbing Pervertical Sanctuary, wow she is an awesome climber with a cool head. I wish I was climbing there now instead of sitting at home in the UK in the pouring rain. Great Climbing Steph all the best Steve.
