- Hi Steph Simple Living Climb
Hi Steph,
I just wanted to say I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of your book to me here on the big island of Hawaii. I’m a climber and kayaker from Santa Cruz, CA who took a chance after graduating from college and is now working out here on the big island for the winter months for a sailing company in Waikoloa, HI. The thing I miss from home the most is climbing…and my climbing community. I bought your book off of Amazon on day 5 of being out here and also the Freedom of the Hills Mountaineering book, to give me something to daydream off of while I am away. I am embracing the place I am in and I suppose experiencing a place that I do not want to permanently live…after all my addiction to climbing is now a major factor on my next place of residency (I’m thinking Durango, CO…thoughts? or maybe heading to the desert to soak up that beautiful red rock) My savings has been drown already and am hoping to replenish it the best I can before retreating to the mainland for some time in the mountains (post college life is a trip on my own).
Anywho, I just wanted to say thank you in advance for your book as it is already a comfort to a lone climber out in the middle of the Pacific.
Hoping the season is treating you well. Embrace the beautiful rocks for me please, I miss them a lot.
Be well,
Meggan
