A Normal Man
Dear Steph,
I’m just a “normal” man, and a beginner climber…no extreme adventures, no free solo.
Just rope climbing 6a max grade with friends on some crap rocks in middle Italy. I discovered climbing too late, I was 31 yo and I was trying to portraits whit my reflex a couples of friends on the site I said.
After the first try with jogging shoes, I run to buy the right equip and… that’s all. Last year I visited Yosemite (El Captain, Glacier Point…) but the only things I did were a lot of nice photos.
At the moment, I’m stopped by a shoulder problem, waiting for surgery to resolve this not needed accident.
By the way, I admire you very much. As I said some weeks ago on your forum, “you’re a wonderful living”, even if I don’t know you at all…
Hoping to have a chance to meet you during this life, or during the next one, goodbye !
PS: very nice website

Thank you Enrico!
I hope your shoulder will heal fast and that you can be back to all your adventures.
🙂 Steph
Climbing is just like any sport, it’s for normal people and just some people exceed to wonderful level, which is just like any sport. I know of an old lady in late 60 and still climbs 6b or c and she keeps telling me I can improve! I’m 46 y/o. I’m sure Steph will still be climbing in 60 or even more. So please take time to heal your injury and be back on the track when you’re fully ready. No it’s not too late. We can improve a lot and can enjoy more 🙂
