I saw you for the first time this morning when I was reading an article on Yahoo News “10 of The World’s Coolest Jobs”. I am impressed ! And Amazed ! You are Incredible !
I live in Oklahoma now, was in Texas for 10 years mostly working Cattle and Ranching, now doing Plumbing work in Oklahoma. A rather uninteresting and tiresome job, but I will tell you that I love to have my feet on the ground ! I don’t know how you physically and mentally do all those unbelievable climbs !

Hi Richard,
Thanks for writing! Right now I’m in Moab, finishing my book “Learning to Fly” and climbing and base jumping when it’s nice out. The book is due February 1, so I’m on the final stages of editing before turning it in. It’s been a big project, and amazing to finally be near the end of it.
I love the winter time in Moab because things finally slow down–the town gets quiet, and there are a lot less people around. When it’s sunny, you get a few perfect hours in the day, and when it’s cloudy and snowing, you hunker down by the wood stove 🙂
