American Lifestyle Article
Having just read the referenced article this a.m. I was particularly intrigued by your answers to the questions and it took me awhile to figure out why I was intrigued. Your answers were what I refer to as “cut to the chase” answers and not full of metaphors and out of mind explanations about how you feel about something. I particularly like your response to the question “How does free soloing differ from other types of climbing? – “Falling is really not an option, so it requires total focus”. Another could’ve answered: the ability to soar beneath heavens like a mature eagle, filling my mind with visions of – – – – – – – .
I will follow your web site and blog. I am not a climber and have no inclination to so. I am seventy-five and will limit myself to climbing stairs, climbing out of bed and riding elevators when offered as an alternative to climbing stairs.

Dear Colin,
Thank you very much for your letter, and for following this site! I’m glad you enjoyed the American Lifestyle article, and that you appreciate plain speaking 🙂
Please be well, and don’t get too crazy on those elevators 😉
Steph
Hi Steph,
I just read the American Lifestyle interview and I loved it! Like Colin I was moved by the answers to the interview questions. You are an amazing person, and the article really captures what a thoughtful and intelligent person you are. Is the article anywhere online? I’d really like to post a link to it with the readers of my website.

Thank you Carol, I don’t know if this is available online. Recently someone sent me some scans of the article. But I’m glad you enjoyed it! Steph
