Learning to Fly: Kathmandu–>Hong Kong

Hi Steph,
I was getting ready to leave my hotel room in Kathmandu when I got the message from Amazon that your book was available for download…and then the power dropped out!

Oh well, I’ve been waiting for months. Another night wasn’t going to hurt.

Downloaded the book when I arrived home in Hong Kong and was hooked from the first two pages. Just finished and wanted to send a big “Thank You” to you for putting so much of your self into this book. I enjoyed it immensely and as with your earlier book found it inspiring. I hope my girls will read them both when they are a bit older.

I imagine at times it must have been a difficult book to write but has resulted in an incredible story of life lived as the amazing adventure that it truly is (even with all of its ups and downs). I really enjoyed reading how you prepare yourself mentally for climbing and jumping and your joy at doing all the things that you so obviously love. The whole time I was reading your book I felt like I was in that moment when you first let go of an aircraft or first break that bond of gravity with the ground. I hope that people who haven’t yet done these things might also get that feeling from reading your book.

It makes my heart glad to know that there are good people out there doing amazing things.

Stay safe and Blue Skies.
Dave

Thank you Dave! I’m really glad you liked it, and glad it was worth the wait 🙂
Steph
