Belay Glasses Decision
Hey Steph,
Between the two belay glasses, which of the two do you prefer wearing? I don’t care about the cost and looks just how glasses perform. We are planning to purchase one soon.

Hi Connie,
I have the Y&Y Glasses and also the CU Glasses and honestly it’s really a tossup between them for me. The CU may be slightly clearer to see through (sometimes I think they are, sometimes I don’t, but maybe they are?) and I think they are a little lighter, which is always a plus for me. However, I do prefer the small zip case that comes with the Y&Y, because it’s more compact and I can clip it to my harness if I want. I know it’s silly for it to come down to the case, but if that’s a priority it might be the decider? I like them both–in a perfect world, I’d probably put the CU glasses in the Y&Y case 🙂

Also, the plastic frame version of the Y&Y Glasses (which are excellent, in my opinion) can be had for half the price of the CU glasses…
