hi Steph, just read your VAN Story— what a hoot! I’ve had a couple more (middle class) versions that had their positives & negatives. Best was a used 1986 Chinook high top with a turbo diesel motor. 19mpg. Drove it 100k, lived in it for months at a time, and sold it for only $4000 less than I paid for it. But– it was always top heavy and I sold it soon after finding myself off the road and nearly upset after going to sleep while driving 65mph.
Anyway, I thought you might get a giggle out of this biography. Raising nine kids simultaneously in a 24′ motor home! But they surfed every day and never were housebroken into proper consumers.
